Amid a massive outrage over the brutal killing of a pregnant Elephant in Kerala, another similar episode has come to light. A youthful female elephant in Kollam district died of injuries within her mouth a month past, news agency PTI (The Press Trust of India Ltd) reported. Before, a pregnant crazy elephant in Silent Valley Forest expired on May 27 after a pineapple filled with strong crackers extended by a man exploded in her mouth when she chomped on it.

Another incident, a female elephant met with a comparable fate in April from the Pathanapuram forest range region under Punalur division in Kollam district. According to a leading forest officer, the elephant was found in a serious condition from the fringe Regions of the forests in Pathanapuram by forest officials in April.

Female elephant's jaw Was broken

The official said the pachyderm was discovered alienated from the herd of elephants. Her jaw was injured and it was not able to eat, the senior officer told PTI.

Chief Wildlife Warden Surendra Kumar had revealed that her jaw was broken and she was unable to eat after she chewed the pineapple that burst in her mouth. The problem came to light if forest officer Mohan Krishnan shared on it on social media. He explained that she was standing in the river along with her head dipped in water. "She trusted everyone. After the pineapple she ate exploded, she must have been shocked not considering herself, but about the youngster, she had been going to give birth to in 18 to 20 months," he wrote on his Facebook.

"It had been very weak. When the forest leaders proposed, the elephant went inside the forest and entered the herd of elephants waiting there. However, the following day, the elephant was found alienated from its herd. Good treatment was given but sadly, it succumbed to its wounds," he explained.

Another official said an investigation has been launched to the incident.

An officer stated it is suspected that the elephant bit a food thing full of crackers and it burst in her mouth. Forest officials opined that investigation into these cases was very demanding.

"We will give punishment to that culprits for 'hunt' the elephant," Surendrakumar told to PTI.

The dilemma of the pachyderm's tragic death in Silent Valley Came to light after Mohan Krishnan, a forest officer, posted a psychological note on his Facebook page, narrating the passing of the elephant at the waters of their “Velliyar River”.

"She had stood at the river, with her head dipped in the water. She had a sixth sense that she was going to perish. She took the “Jalasamadhi” into the river in a standing pose," Krishnan, who had been delegated deputed to bring back the elephant to the shore, composed. Also, he posted the photographs of the elephant standing in the river water.

BJP leader Maneka Gandhi lashed out in the Kerala government for not taking any action. She stated Malappuram is India's most violent district and an elephant is killed every 3 days in Kerala. An elephant is killed every 3 times in Kerala. We have less than 20,000 elephants left in India, they're quickly declining," the animal rights activist further said. Gandhi also questioned Rahul Gandhi and required the elimination of forest secretary, the concerned minister.
